Levels
Beginner level language lessons that focus on understanding and using familiar everyday expressions like introducing yourself to others, communicating routine tasks, and describing your environment in simple terms.
Mid-level language lessons in which students learn travel, school and work vocabulary, and are able to understand main points of clearly spoken sentences. They are also able to interact with some fluency and spontaneity in regular interactions with native speakers.
Complex language lessons where students expand their existing vocabulary, can understand a wide range of longer clauses, and can express comprehension on a variety of topics. Students can easily understand everything heard and read and can spontaneously and fluently express their ideas in words.
Types of Lessons
These Italian language lessons focus on a little bit of everything to make a well-rounded communicator. These lessons include grammar, pronunciation, speaking, reading, writing, listening, and comprehension.
Each conversation lesson focuses on a new topic. The lessons start with a video, audio file, text or picture. This new content is then discussed using a vocabulary list. Lesson topics can be chosen by the teacher or the student and are personalized to fit the level and interest of each student.
Some students want to dive deep into a specific topic. These lessons allow students to develop strong vocabulary knowledge and practice using it in context. Italian culture and food is a popular request.
Ms. Pellini is also a winemaker and teaches wine appreciation, enology, and viticulture lessons. Contact her at wine@classroompellini.com if you are interested in learning more about Italian wine. She can also help prepare viticulture and enology students for Italian winery internships abroad.
